CARBONE SOLVES VILLA'S PERSONNEL CRISIS - 21 Oct

Benito Carbone could be set for his Aston Villa debut on Saturday after signing from Sheffield Wednesday for a nominal fee.
Villa manager John Gregory has been rocked by injuries to Julian Joachim and Darius Vassell ahead of the visit of Wimbledon at the weekend.
The 28-year-old Italian striker's contract at Villa Park expires in June 2000 but he has hinted that he wants to return to his homeland.
But Gregory remains confident that he can persuade Carbone to stay on at Villa Park after his new deal runs out.
``Carbone has proved he likes the Premiership and enjoys the stage,'' Gregory told the club's official website.
``Taking him on a permanent basis is still very much an option.
``At the end of this season, a move to Italy could earn him a lot of money. But he does enjoy this scene in England and it is still a big lure to him.''
