Dublin turns down Blackburn (Oct 30)
Dion Dublin has turned down a move to Blackburn Rovers, leaving the door open for Villa to come in with a £5 million knock down bid.

Dublin has a clause in his contract that allows any team who bids over £5 million to speak to him,  however Coventry City say they won't accept offers less then the £6.75 million that Blackburn were prepared to pay.

Dublin's solicitors have been in touch with the Coventry City board reminding them of the clause,  and as soon as Villa have permission to speak to him Gregory has stated he will speak to him.

Newcastle United are also in the running for Dublin, and they also are not prepared to go over £5.1 million,  however the lure of Villa seems set to ensure that Gregory gets his man
