Mark Draper has vowed to win back his
Villa place, after losing his place in the squad to recent summer signing
Alan Thompson.
Draper, who played against Stromsgodset last week felt he did enough to at least earn a recall for the Coventry game but manager Gregory reverted back to the trusted Thompson, Taylor Hendry Partnership. Draper has started only 4 of Villa's 10 games this season and is the longest he has been in his whole career. At 27 he feels his England chances are also passing him by, after earning an England call up in his second season he his now very far from the front of the queue for an England place. He feels the only way to force himself back into the England frame is to play regular football, however having personally seen him play I for one am not utterly disappointed at his dropping |
